San Antonio - Alamo City + Golf!
Northwest SA has lots to offer – beautiful hill country views, shopping, affordable housing, city-wide bicycle trails, tons of history, and the best Tex-Mex in the State. I play golf nearly every day of the week – and at different courses – so many! One hour to Texas wine country, 20 minutes to the world famous River Walk, top medical facilities, and lovely churches. A VERY laid-back way of life. Slow down and smell the clean air!

Denver - City Life with Mountain Views
Denver is a growing city with so many things to do! Lots of suburban options and small neighborhoods, or live right in the city (Union Station is a hipster paradise for condos and walking, but suddenly barely affordable). The mountains are never far away; you can get into beautiful lakeside areas within 1-2 hours drive. Endless camping and hiking options; ski during the day and see a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater at night! Good food, Lots of good music and local breweries, never a dull moment…unless you want one!

New York City - The Harlem Valley of Manhattan
Come explore the north part of great Manhattan. We live in the Dorrance Brooks Historical District; Strivers’ Row Historical District is across the street. We have lovely “brownstones” (fabulous large family homes built in the 1800’s) on the side streets, and our historical apartment faces 8th Avenue. The area is home to the “Ribbon Parks” of St. Nicholas Park. At 145th and Edgecombe Avenue is Jackie Robinson Park with a big open-air public swimming pool. There are supermarkets and grocery stores in the area, and we are close to the shopping artery of Harlem and the famous Apollo Theatre on 125th St.

Sandpoint - Northwest Lakes Beauty
Sandpoint is a little treasure with a great Americana small town atmosphere. We’ve visited several times in the past few years, and have gotten to know people in the community. So often I wondered what happened to this sort of willingness to be helpful and assist others? Coming from a Central Coast city in CA, my impression is that after the beauty of it, the people make it a standout place to live or visit. I could also site the affordability and a multitude of things to do and places to visit nearby; check it out!

San Luis Obispo - Central Coast Paradise
Nestled among ancient volcanic peaks, a few miles from the ocean, San Luis Obispo is a town not too big and not too small, but just right for enjoying a Mediterranean climate, coastal scenery, miles of hiking trails, wineries, cultural events and a quaint, but vibrant downtown. My backyard is abundant with lemon trees, roses, and verdant flowering vegetation. Dark skies (lack of city lights) mean we can see stars at night! Home to California State Polytechnic University and old Mission San Luis Obispo, it is a thriving academic and cultural community mid-way between San Francisco and Los Angeles. A great place to visit while traveling the California central coast, or move here!

Visalia - Normal Rockwell town
Visalia lies in the fertile Central Valley of California, at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the commercial center of a great agricultural region. It is the kind of place Norman Rockwell or Walt Disney envisioned, a perfect place to raise a family. Three National Parks are within an easy drive. Where else can you pick an orange with snow capped mountains in the background?

Sacramento - Swinging Sac Town
I moved to East Sacramento 3 months before Covid hit and even in that year of being shut down I was impressed with this City of Trees. It’s urban and everything about that holds true here. But as a single woman in her mature years I’m comfortable walking, riding my bike, enjoying the farm to fork restaurants and frequenting music venues alone without feeling out of place. There’s a big swing dance community here too! It’s just 90 minutes from the SF North Bay, Napa and Tahoe. Easy to enjoy day trips. I love it!

St. Louis - Diversity in the South County
I suggest you check out the St. Louis area municipalities of Affton, Crestwood and Sunset Hills. These towns are safe, clean, and full of friendly people. Grant’s Farm is a good animal park; Watson Trails Park is fun, and has a wheelchair accessible playground, with 2 rides a person can enjoy while staying in their chair to ride. Sappington House & Oakland House are great for history. Laumeier Sculpture Park for art. Grants Trail walk/bike for outdoor exercise.

Kagel Canyon - Rural Life near Los Angeles
Kagel Canyon is a lovely, rural area located in the north San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. It is tucked against the Angeles National Forest, and wildlife like deer and coyotes make regular appearances. A charming creek flows year round, and the locals are nature lovers living in harmony with the environment. And only minutes away from all the other valley towns, as well as the sprawling Big City.

Bloomington - A Taste Of The Midwest
Half-way between Chicago and Saint Louis, Bloomington is a great place to visit. Friendly faces, great restaurants, breweries, festivals, museums, cultural events, and two major colleges. Golf courses, walking/bike trails, and a wide variety of sporting events. Numerous small businesses that offer unique shopping opportunities. Fun for families. Come see what Bloomington has to offer. You’ll be glad you did.

Cornwall-on-Hudson - Great place to grow up!
C-on-H has got to be one of the best places to be a kid, and grow up. Wonderful town and village, great bike riding, awesome town pool, good schools and friendly people. Great hiking and fishing, and we haven’t even mentioned the Hudson River yet! 5 Stars!

Sykesville - Awesome town
Love that we moved to Sykesville 5 years ago. It’s got the feel of a small town, but close enough to shopping and bigger towns. Baltimore is 25 minutes, DC 50 minutes. Historic downtown Sykesville is just a very short walk away, and old Ellicott City is a great place to spend an afternoon.

Bowie - Diverse & Close to Major Cities – but not!
The best part of living in Bowie is it’s proximity to everything. Both Washington, DC and Annapolis are just 15-20 minutes away. Baltimore is a 30 minute drive. Easy on and off the highway. And, lots of diverse people.

Santa Barbara - Central Coast Charm
Santa Barbara is a pretty celebrated beach community with great weather nearly all year long. It is expensive to live here and the housing market has not slowed down during Covid. But there are some wonderful areas around SB that deliver the great weather and beach without the $. Consider Summerland to the south and Goleta to the north and you’ll find great beaches (that dogs love, too!) and fun places to eat.

Royal Oak - A great place to live and enjoy life!
A charming community of 60,000 people from all walks of life, living on tree-lined streets from all eras, situated just 10 miles north of downtown Detroit. Its bustling downtown is filled with unique shops and restaurants, entertainment venues, and the local farmers market. The city is home to several annual art and music festivals, as well as more than fifty city parks and the Famous Detroit Zoo. Historic Woodward Avenue, long known for its car cruising legacy and the annual Woodward Dream Cruise, runs through the town.

San Luis Obispo - Come Check Out SLO!
This a beautiful little secluded paradise on California’s central coast. Enjoy nice beaches, a cute downtown, fun hiking trails, and world-renowned wineries. My favorite thing to do is to explore all the winding roads. Beautiful cool nights with some coastal fog, burns off mid-morning.

San Luis Obispo - Come to our Quaint Town!
This is the perfect spot for a quiet getaway from your busy life. With world-renowned wineries in Paso Robles (30 minutes north), the bustling downtown Farmer’s Market on Thursday evenings, a retro drive-in, SLO is a beautiful place to relax and unwind. Similarly, check out the hikes and scenic spots throughout the County to connect you back to nature. My favorite is the Bishop’s Peak mountain, which gives you an amazing bird’s eye view! No matter where you go in our small town, you will be greeted with friendly faces and kind hearts.

Burke - Wonderful Northern Virginia Suburb
This is a quiet suburb within Fairfax County and an amazing place for families. Great schools, quiet neighborhoods and a strong community feel. My childhood was comprised of riding my bike with my friends through our neighborhood streets, walking to the grocery store in the occasional snowstorm, attending high school football games, and playing multiple sports. It’s a short 30-minute drive to Washington, D.C. to take in all of the history, museums, monuments and more. Can’t recommend Burke, VA, enough for its safety, community and wonderful schools!

Roanoke - The Roanoke Valley & Mountains
Many consider Roanoke as the Star City of the Old South! If you love mountains, four distinct seasons of moderate temperatures and a small town feel with big town facilities… you will love living in the Roanoke Valley areas (includes Smith Mountain Lake, Botetourt County, Troutville, Fincastle, Buchanan, Salem, Vinton). Outdoor activities are abundant: mountain biking trails, hiking, boating, river fishing and kayaking, the skyline drive of the Blue Ridge Parkway, natural forest lands, a feel of town & country together. Families love living here! Come see!

Concord - Old-Fashioned New England
Concord and the surrounding areas offer an old-fashioned New England in all the best ways – charming small town, lively vibe, still has all the suburban essentials. The weather can be glorious and the ocean, lakes, and mountains are all within a short drive. Leaf-peepers are lucky; a scenic drive over the Vermont border in October will leave you in awe. Winters are long, but New Hampshire people are tough.
