Nestled among ancient volcanic peaks, a few miles from the ocean, San Luis Obispo is a town not too big and not too small, but just right for enjoying a Mediterranean climate, coastal scenery, miles of hiking trails, wineries, cultural events and a quaint, but vibrant downtown. My backyard is abundant with lemon trees, roses, and verdant flowering vegetation. Dark skies (lack of city lights) mean we can see stars at night! Home to California State Polytechnic University and old Mission San Luis Obispo, it is a thriving academic and cultural community mid-way between San Francisco and Los Angeles. A great place to visit while traveling the California central coast, or move here!
