Come explore the north part of great Manhattan. We live in the Dorrance Brooks Historical District; Strivers’ Row Historical District is across the street. We have lovely “brownstones” (fabulous large family homes built in the 1800’s) on the side streets, and our historical apartment faces 8th Avenue. The area is home to the “Ribbon Parks” of St. Nicholas Park. At 145th and Edgecombe Avenue is Jackie Robinson Park with a big open-air public swimming pool. There are supermarkets and grocery stores in the area, and we are close to the shopping artery of Harlem and the famous Apollo Theatre on 125th St.
